Welcome to our ‘Vehicle of the Month’ blog post series where we will be sharing some of the most fascinating and remarkable car and motorbike stories, restoration projects and travel adventures of our customers.

Last month we kicked-off with a restoration story by Will from Malkin Motorsport and his Hillman Avenger. This September we’re continuing with our second ‘Vehicle of the Month’ story by Danny and his 1978 Plymouth Fury, which he has transformed into a striking Hazzard County Sheriff Patrol Car Replica. Here is his story:

*400 cubic-inch (6.6 litre) Big-Block 4 barrel, 8 cylinder V8 ‘High Performance’ Chrysler B engine 195bhp (numbers matching with Police ‘heavy duty’ special handling package*
*(3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission & power steering as standard)*
*The Police special handling package consists of HEAVY DUTY transmission, power front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, radiator, & suspension (leaf springs, shock absorbers, torsion bar, sway bars)*

"This is the earliest photo i have of my Plymouth Fury when the previous owner purchased it from his Father in 2011".

"Rear quarter dent removed and both quarters have been welded. The side trim pins have been removed & welded and the paint is now being stripped (17th April 2015)".

"New fresh white paint (21st May 2015)".
 
 
 
"All put back together with many new parts including new light bar and all dyed interior (December 2016)".

"New Sheriff decals were applied with the help of my mate Paul (25th May 2018)".
 
 
"So finally after nearly a 5 year restoration, my Plymouth's debut was at the Enfield Pageant of Motoring (26th May 2018)".
